Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex – including pregnancy and parental status – in educational programs and activities.

It is the intent of Los Rios to implement policies to guarantee that no qualified student or prospective student, or any person having an educational relationship with the district, shall be unlawfully discriminated against, harassed, or excluded from any benefits, activities, or programs on the grounds of their parenting or pregnancy status, and all related conditions, including false pregnancy or loss of pregnancy.

Pregnant students and prospective pregnant students who believe they may need an accommodation due to temporary disability should contact the DSPS Program at their college. Pregnant employees who believe they may need an accommodation due to temporary disability should contact the college or district ADA officer.

Know your rights as a pregnant or parenting student under Title IX.

Students, employees, or applicants for employment who believe they may have been discriminated against based on pregnancy or related conditions, including termination of pregnancy, should contact the college or district Title IX officer.
