The ARC Office of Philanthropy is now accepting innovation grant applications from faculty and staff. The Faculty & Staff Innovation Grants Program reflects the ARC Office of Philanthropy’s investment in the ongoing vitality of the campus community and the important role played by innovative faculty and staff projects.
Innovation is introduction of new ideas, projects, or methods and innovation may include, but not be limited to, making changes to something existing or introducing new ideas to further the mission, strategic goals, and strategies of ARC. Innovation is a change in the thought process for doing something or forward looking and ahead of current thinking. Grant applications will be evaluated using the college’s strategic plan.
Due to limited resources, there may be fewer requests granted. Depending on the nature of the request, the Office of Philanthropy may grant up to $5,000
All faculty, staff and student-sanctioned clubs (with advisor involvement) at ARC are eligible to apply. Donors to the ARC Office of Philanthropy’s Annual Fund generously give to provide the source of revenue for this grants program. In an effort to continue to build the Annual Fund, preference will be given to those who are current donors to the Annual Fund, all other things being equal.
The ARC Office of Philanthropy with support from President Greene and Vice President Kaur make funding decisions. The relative weight given to proposals is as follows:
40% - Originality and Innovation
50% - Connection to ARC’s mission, vision and strategic goals and strategies
10% - Overall application and project description
