Los Rios Screenwriting Club

ABOUT THE CLUB

We are a group of students writing original screenplays. The purpose of the club is to hold each other accountable for finishing our projects and to support one another by providing constructive feedback and positive encouragement. We also like to discuss movies in general and do off-campus activities. If you are interested in joining, please agree to the club rules first.

CLUB RULES

  1. CONFIDENTIALITY
We keep all scripts shared within the group confidential. We do not share electronic files with people outside of the group and we do not discuss each other's screenplays with other people.
  2. RESPECT
We speak to each other with kindness and empathy.
  3. PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY
This is a safe environment. Please share your ideas, questions, and concerns freely.
  4. ACCOUNTABILITY
Please do your "homework" before coming to each meeting. Be ready to contribute to the conversation at the meeting by reading the assigned pages.
  5. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK
Please provide useful and honest feedback to the screenwriter. Also, please be receptive to any comments or feedback you may receive on your screenplay. You don't have to implement the suggestions but you are required to listen with an open mind.
  6. HAVE FUN!
This is a light-hearted group. We want to support one another in our screenwriting journey. So be prepared to have a great time.
