Transferring from a
non-Los Rios college

Like all students new to American River College, you are required to participate in matriculation, a special orientation/counseling program mandated by the state, designed to improve student success.

The process:

• Apply.
  • Complete an application for admission, available online or in our e-services center in the cafeteria building. (Questions? Phone either Records and Admissions at 916-484-8261.)
• Take the appropriate assessment test(s).
  • The assessment test schedule is available online, or in printed form at the Assessment Center (student services building) and Counseling Center. Or call the assessment center (916-484-8423) for additional information.
• Make an appointment to see a counselor (916-484-8572)
