 | First-time college studentsYou are considered a new college student if you have never before enrolled at any college. As a new student, you are required to complete the a process that provides you with the information and support that will help you fulfill your educational goals and increase your chances for success. You may receive priority registration by completing this "matriculation" process. The process - Complete an online application for admission from any computer with Web access. - Priority registration will be given to students who submit their applications to the admissions office by the following deadlines: April 1 if you plan to attend in the fall, November 1 if you plan to attend in the spring
- Take the appropriate assessment test(s). Call the assessment center (916-484-8423) for additional information, or click here to view information on the Assessment Center website.
- Orientation/counseling. Orientation can be done online or in person, followed by a meeting with an academic counselor. Click here for more information.
