International students

You are considered an international student if you are a resident and a citizen of a foreign country, and you cannot establish California residency under your current visa.

  • Applicants for the F-1 visa must submit an application for an I-20, available from the office of the dean of enrollment services.
  • Applicants with a current B, J, or M visa must contact the dean of enrollment services prior to applying for admission and enrolling in classes.
  • All others may submit an application for admission through the admissions office.
  • The admissions office determines residency status and fees at the time the application for admission is submitted.

For complete information, visit our international student website.

If you haven't already done so, we suggest you begin by taking our online campus tour, which also explains all the steps you need to take in becoming an ARC student.
