ARC Mathematics

Besides pre-college and college-level math classes that meet ARC graduation requirements, ARC offers an A.S. degree in mathematics that provides a foundation of mathematics for students in preparation for transfer to a four-year program in mathematics or statistics. Degree course work includes a three semester calculus series, differential equations, linear algebra, and statistics and/or symbolic logic.

New Pre-Calculus Option

Now you have a faster choice for pre-calculus! Take Math 372 and 373 - in the same semester - and finish your pre-calculus requirement in one semester instead of two.

After you complete Intermediate Algebra, you can take Math 372 (College Algebra for Calculus, 4 units) and Math 373 (Trigonometry for Calculus, 4 units).

Even if you don't want to take both courses in the same semester, you can still take them in either order -- 372 then 373 or 373 then 372 -- just as long as you take both to meet the prerequisites for Calculus I.

Math 372 is transferable to both CSU and UC and Math 373 (like Math 330) is CSU-transferable. Both classes offer multiple sections in Fall 2018.

Wage Data

The California Salary Surfer program uses the aggregated earnings of graduates from a five-year period to provide an estimate on the potential wages to be earned two years and five years after receiving a certificate or degree in certain disciplines.
