Veterans
American River College welcomes all veterans, with two offices to serve your specific needs.
- All entering veterans should begin with the Veterans Services Office.
- Once you have become a student, you are encouraged to use any of the services of the Veterans Information Center.
Veterans Services Office
- This office assists students with their educational benefits available through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Eligible participants include active duty veterans, retirees, reservists, and dependents of veterans.
- Priority Registration is available to all veterans who provide a DD form 214 or military ID.
- ARC Veterans Services also evaluates military transcripts and DD form 214s for college credit.

Veterans Information Center
There's much more to college success than securing your educational benefits and enrolling in classes.
- The Veterans Information Center helps address the needs and concerns of adult students like yourself, who are making the transition back to school, or who are entering college for the first time.
- By taking advantage of these services, coming back to school will be less stressful and your chances for successful completion of your educational goals will increase greatly.
- The Center is located in the Student Services Building, across the hall from Financial Aid.
