Umoja Sakhu Village Time (Academic Enrichment)

Village time is a time for Umoja Sakhu students and staff to meet and be in community with one another.  It is a time for Umoja Sakhu students to be engaged and to feel supported in their academic pursuits.  Some examples of Village Time activities include porchtalk, workshops, tutoring, peer mentoring and study time.  Umoja Sakhu Village time for the fall 2017 semester will take place as follows:

*Courses marked with an asterisk are linked and enrollment in one requires enrollment in the other.  English writing and College Success courses are taught with an African American emphasis.  To enroll in any Umoja Sakhu courses, interested students must attend an information meeting to receive a permission number.

Umoja-Sakhu staff firmly believe that ALL students CAN and WILL learn when given "intentional and deliberate" guidance and instructional support.
