The Transfer Alliance Program (TAP) is a collaboration between the American River College Honors Program & UCLA.
ARC honors students work closely with both the Honors Program Coordinator and Transfer Center Director in preparation for TAP certification. Honors students must apply to UCLA for fall admissions and complete the subsequent TAP certification form in the month of February of their final semester.
ARC students who have completed a minimum of 15 units of honors courses for the honors certificate receive priority consideration for admission to designated majors in the UCLA College of Letters and Science. Admitted TAP students are eligible to apply for scholarships reserved for the Transfer Alliance Program.
The ARC Honors Program is open to students who
- initially place into honors composition courses (ENGWR 480) by way of the assessment process; or
- successfully meet the challenge process each semester
