A scholarship is considered a gift of money to assist a student in financing their higher education. The amount available for individual students varies. Private financial aid may come from foundations, civic or service clubs, corporations, &/or private individuals [click 'Scholarship Websites' button at left].
ARC Foundation Scholarships
Early each spring semester, the ARC Foundation, through generous contributions from donors, offer more than 170 scholarships, totaling approximately $150,000 for students attending American River College. Students with a minimum of 6 units from ARC may apply online (from the first of January through the end of February) by using the Los Rios Online Scholarship Application.
