EOP&S (Extended Opportunity Programs and Services) is designed and funded by the State of California and the district to recruit and assist college students who show academic and financial need. EOP&S promotes student success with enrollment assistance, educational planning, tutoring and limited financial assistance. Participation is limited to California residents who are eligible to receive the Board of Governors Grant and have an academic need. The EOP&S office is located in the Student Services building. EOP&S-eligible students, who are single head of household TANF/AFDC recipients, may also be eligible to participate in the CARE (Cooperative Agencies Resources in Education) program.

The goal of the MESA/CCCP (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement/CaliforniaCommunity College Program) is to increase the number of disadvantaged studentswho complete a four-year degree in mathematics or science fields. The MESA/CCCPis a support community offering academic support, academic orientation, and professional development opportunities.
