Tanisha Jenkins started ARC in the Spring of 2010. Tanisha's major is Human Services and she plans to transfer to Sacramento State to enter the Social Worker program.

My name is Don and I am a Biological Science and Business major here at American River College. I am a non-traditional college student, which means that I did not start college right after High School Graduation and I believe anytime is the right time to pursue a college education! I have been a volunteer tutor for the Journey Program and now I am a student mentor. I enjoy helping students achieve their goals and find it very rewarding to hear all their success stories. I am currently majoring in child development. I enjoy helping others and staying connected with the campus by getting involved in clubs. As a mentor I really hope to encourage students to meet new people; as well as, being open to accept uplifting challenges that are out of their comfort zone while in college.
