Alternative Media and Technology

Adaptive Media and Technology utilizes adaptive software and hardware to meet the needs of students with various disabilities. The computer programs and equipment help students with class work, improve their learning skills, and prepare for tests. The ATC Lab is intended for academic use and has open lab hours as well as time set aside for training.
The following tools are available for students in the Disabled Student Services, and Learning Disabilities program:

Some of the computer programs may be used on a first-come first-served basis and others need to be reserved by appointments. Such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking, this computer program will require some training. The use of this software will require an appointment and an USB memory stick. Also to print anything from the internet or any other program, students are required to have money on their student ID or money on their Go-Print card.

If you have any further questions please contact Mela Bennett or her staff at
484-8382 (DSP&S Front Desk) or email at BennettMT@arc.losrios.edu. You are always welcome to tour the Adaptive Technology Center and ask questions. The computer lab is open Monday through Friday and the hours are posted on the ATC Lab announcement board in DSP&S.
