Scholarships

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

At the time of application, the applicant must meet the following minimum criteria:

• Be a Gerontology student
• Minimum GPA of 2.0
• Currently enrolled at ARC, with a minimum of 6 units. Cannot be waitlisted in classes. You can check your online transcript or with enrollment services.
• Completed at least 6 units at ARC, last semester
• Must be working towards an AA or AS degree at ARC or transferring to a 4 year university. You can also check your current declared major; this is listed as ‘Plan' on your online transcript.  If you need to change your declared major or educational goals, see the 'Admission and Records'  department, on campus, located in the Administration building. 
• Students working towards a certificate are NOT eligible for Foundation scholarships

TIP: Since there is a 30-minute time limit to enter and submit your information, use a word processing program to complete your application, which will give you time to carefully answer the questions.  When you're done, you can easily cut/paste your answers into the on-line application form.

Students are encouraged to apply for as many scholarships as they qualify for.  We don't want any scholarships going back because there were no applicants.  So, please take the time to apply.  Good luck!
