As a proud alumni of ARC, I am aware of the course workload as I took every course that I now teach.  I know how difficult it can be to juggle school, work, family and other commitments.  Remember Life happens.  I am here to help you.  Communicate with me before you feel like you are going under.  It is my goal to have you succeed

My Educational Background:
American River College: Associate Arts Degrees
Interior Design
Gerontology Business Administration
Gerontology Environmental Design

American River College: Certificates
Design for Life
Kitchen & Bath Design

San Jose State University: Bachelor of Science
Business Administration with a concentration in International Business

San Francisco State University:  Master of Arts

Currently working on my doctorate in Education Online Technology

My Service Commitments: Wisdom Keeper Faculty Advisor, a group I helped form when I was a student.  Governing Board for our local Area 4 Agency on Aging, Commission Member for the Placer County Older Adult Commission  and  Community College Board Representative for the California Council of Gerontology and Geriatrics.

Bottom Line: I love teaching.  In my classes we journey together to investigate new concepts linking them to previous experiences and learnings.  It is my duty to motivate my students to step outside of what they believe they already know and be receptive in learning what experts in the field think they know.  I want my students to ask questions and be adventurous in discovering new ideas.  As we are living longer than ever before in the history of mankind, the subject of aging is a new and vast horizon.  Aging could very well be the final frontier!

Looking forward to journeying with you.
