PSY 354: Psychology of Family Life and Intimate Relationships in a Diverse Society 3 Units
Advisory:
ENGWR 102 or 103, and ENGRD 116 with a grade of "C" or better; OR ESLR 320 and ESLW 320 with a grade of "C" or better; OR placement through assessment process
Hours: 54 hours LEC, 108 hours out-of-class work


This course is a study of family life and intimate relationships from historical, sociological and psychological viewpoints. Topics include elements for building and maintaining intimate relationships, the structure and functions of the family,  sexuality, parenting, gender roles, partner selection, conflict, crisis, divorce, and starting over. Psy 354 is web-enhanced and the use of Canvas is required.
