or placement through the assessment process.

This course covers the fundamental concepts and operations of algebra with problem solving skills emphasized. Topics include properties of real numbers, linear equations and inequalities, integer exponents, polynomials, and factoring polynomials. Other topics include rational exponents, rational/radical expressions with associated equations, the rectangular coordinate system, graphs and equations of lines, systems of linear equations/inequalities, and solving quadratic equations.
