The Social Science degree provides an interdisciplinary approach to academic studies. The purpose of the program is to highlight the interconnectedness of various scientific disciplines.

The International Studies degree is designed to serve the needs of a wide variety of students who are interested in international issues and the impact of globalization on developed and developing economies.

Social Science courses are typically both UC and CSU transferable. For information about a specific class, please see the "courses" link to the left, our current catalog, or contact counseling at 916-484-8572.

Beginning Spring 2016, Social Science (SOCS) courses will be designated as International Studies (IS), but will continue to meet the needs of students interested in a global perspective.
